After each six week session students have the opportunity to participate in our Student Art Show to celebrate their success!

LITTLE EXPLORERS | GROWING IN ART

Ages 3-5

Growing in Art Classes are designed to help young artists explore a variety of art mediums, spend time with other young artists, build hand eye coordination and dexterity while learning to enjoy art.

Students will enjoy a variety of activities including painting, drawing, gluing, and more.
Class combines exploration and play to create fun take home art projects.
Parents may attend with student or drop off.

Multiple registration options available.
Attend individual weeks or register for multiple weeks with special class bundle pricing.

Suitable for students of all artistic levels.

Let’s Create classes offer artists of all levels the opportunity to create unique pieces of art.
Class projects vary from class to class and include a variety of mediums. Each creation is as unique as it’s artist!

Let’s Create classes are designed for suggested ages 6-13.
Suggested ages are based on supplies used and attention span needed to complete each project.

ART EXPLORATION | DRAWING CLASSES

Winter + Spring 2024 Classes

Open to art students of all experience levels.
New projects for returning students.

Beginner level artists will learn basic drawing techniques while exploring different media and subject matter.

Students with prior drawing experience are welcomed in this class and will enjoy the time to continue creating along with individualized instruction to meet their needs and experience level.

STUDENTS MAY REGISTER ONCE CLASS HAS BEGUN
Classes complete progressive projects making it possible for students to enroll throughout and to participate in multiple Art Exploration: Drawing classes throughout the year.

Thursday Class – Three Week Session

Class Projects Include
Cartoon animal drawing and rendering: marker, colored pencil, pastel
Landscape: pastels on colored board using paper for masking
Floral: watercolor
Still Life: charcoal
One-point perspective: marker, colored pencil
Animal: focus on texture, marker, pastel, colored pencil
Landscape: watercolor
Character, figure: marker, pastel, colored pencil
Animal: scratchboard
Two-point perspective – graphite
Cyanotype: with objects and drawing enhancements
Still life: with objects – choice of media
Additional projects will be added as students progress.

Exploring Watercolor

2024 CLASSES

Designed for Students of All Watercolor Experience Levels

Thursday Class – Currently in Session
April 18 – May 2 | 6-8pm
Ages 12 and up

Next Session Beginning Fall of 2024

In this class, students will have fun learning and utilizing basic watercolor techniques while exploring materials and styles. Students often complete multiple paintings in this class. Students are encouraged to bring an 11×14 photograph or photocopy of a memory – a landscape, event, or still life along to class as the subject they would like to paint for this class.

Each students paintings will be personal works of art.

Learn and Experiment with:

~ color theory and mixing

~ basic watercolor techniques
such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry and dry-on-dry

~ different papers

~ opportunity to play with creating textures

From beginner to experienced watercolor artisans this will be a fun and memorable class.
